Delete Your SHIRAH Account and Associated Data

This page explains how SHIRAH users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

You can start deletion inside the SHIRAH mobile app. If you cannot access the app, you can submit a support-assisted deletion request by email without reinstalling the app.

Important: Deleting your SHIRAH account is permanent. A completed deletion removes your account access and deletes or irreversibly anonymizes associated active personal data, except for limited records that SHIRAH must retain for legitimate legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, audit, moderation, transaction-integrity, or dispute-handling purposes.

1. Who Can Request Account Deletion?

Any registered SHIRAH user can request deletion of their own account.

If you can sign in, use the in-app Delete Account option. SHIRAH requires authentication before an in-app deletion request to help prevent unauthorized deletion.

If you cannot access the app, you can use the support-assisted email process described in Section 4 of this page.

2. Delete Your Account from the SHIRAH App

Follow these steps inside the SHIRAH mobile app:

  1. Open the SHIRAH mobile app.
  2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
  3. Open the app drawer, menu, profile, or account-management area.
  4. Open the Management or Account Management section.
  5. Select Delete Account.
  6. Read the deletion warning and review any pending wallet, payment, withdrawal, recharge, order, or dispute activity.
  7. Confirm the deletion request.

Warning: After deletion is completed, you will no longer be able to sign in to that account. Your wallet access, reward points, profile access, and other account-linked benefits will become unavailable. Account deletion cannot normally be reversed.

3. What Happens After In-App Confirmation?

After you confirm deletion, the SHIRAH app sends the request to the SHIRAH backend deletion system.

Once a valid deletion request is completed:

  • Your Firebase Authentication account is permanently deleted.
  • Your active SHIRAH profile information is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
  • Your active authentication and device sessions are revoked.
  • Your push-notification tokens are removed or invalidated.
  • Your phone-number uniqueness registration is released where technically applicable.
  • Your profile photo, cover photo, and other account-linked personal media are deleted or disconnected where technically applicable, unless limited retention is necessary for moderation, safety, dispute, or legal purposes.

Temporary suspension, deactivation, logout, or app uninstall is not treated as account deletion.

4. Request Deletion If You Cannot Access the App

You do not need to reinstall SHIRAH to submit a deletion request. Send a support-assisted request using the email link below:

SHIRAH Account Deletion Request

To help SHIRAH locate and verify the correct account, include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your registered phone number, if available
  • Your SHIRAH profile name or invite code, if available
  • A clear statement that you want your SHIRAH account and associated personal data deleted

Security notice: Never send your password, app PIN, MFS PIN, payment PIN, OTP, biometric information, or other secret credentials. SHIRAH support does not need these credentials to process an account-deletion request.

SHIRAH may request reasonable additional information to verify account ownership and prevent unauthorized or fraudulent deletion. Verification information will be used only for the deletion and security process.

5. Personal Data Deleted or Anonymized

After a valid deletion request is completed, SHIRAH deletes or irreversibly anonymizes active personal data associated with the account where technically and legally applicable.

Authentication and Account Access

  • Firebase Authentication account
  • Active sign-in access
  • Active authentication and device sessions
  • Push-notification tokens

Profile Information

  • Name and active public-profile details
  • Profile photo and cover photo where technically applicable
  • Bio, address, date of birth, gender, country, blood-group profile field, and similar optional profile information

Registration and Contact Information

  • Email and phone number from the active profile
  • Phone-number uniqueness registration where technically applicable
  • Account-linked notification and device-registration information

Other Personal Data

  • Optional donor-profile information where retention is not required for a legitimate purpose
  • Account-linked personal media where technically applicable
  • Other active personal data that is not required for a legitimate retention purpose

6. Records That May Be Retained

SHIRAH may retain limited records after account deletion only when reasonably necessary for legitimate legal, financial, accounting, tax, security, fraud-prevention, audit, moderation, transaction-integrity, provider-reconciliation, operational, or dispute-handling purposes.

Transaction and Financial Records

  • Wallet and reward transaction records
  • Payment and withdrawal records
  • Recharge, top-up, and offer-purchase records
  • Order, delivery, refund, return, and settlement records

Security and Audit Records

  • Fraud-prevention and risk-control records
  • Security-event and abuse-prevention records
  • Audit logs and system-integrity records

Moderation and Dispute Records

  • User reports and moderation decisions
  • Policy-enforcement and child-safety records
  • Records needed to investigate abuse, complaints, or disputes

Operational Records

  • De-identified network or relationship records needed for system integrity
  • Provider references needed for transaction reconciliation
  • Records required to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

Retention limitation: Retained records are limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Where possible, direct personal identifiers are removed, restricted, or replaced with de-identified references.

7. Wallet, Reward Points, Pending Transactions, and Subscriptions

Before requesting deletion, review your wallet balance, reward points, pending withdrawal requests, payments, recharge activity, reselling orders, returns, refunds, and disputes.

  • Wallet access, reward points, and account-linked benefits become unavailable after account deletion is completed.
  • Pending withdrawals, refunds, chargebacks, orders, disputes, or security reviews may need to be resolved before the deletion process can be fully completed.
  • SHIRAH will not require you to keep an active account longer than reasonably necessary to complete a legitimate pending transaction, security review, dispute, or legal-retention process.
  • If you have an active subscription purchased through Google Play or another payment provider, cancel it through the provider where it was purchased. Deleting the SHIRAH account may not automatically cancel external recurring billing.

8. User Content and Community Activity

Posts, comments, replies, reactions, micro-job proofs, product activity, reports, and other user-generated content may be deleted, hidden, disconnected from the active profile, or de-identified after account deletion.

Some content or related records may be retained when necessary for transaction integrity, moderation, child safety, abuse prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, or the rights and safety of other users.

Where retained public content is no longer required to identify you, SHIRAH may replace account-identifying details with a deleted-user or de-identified reference.

9. Processing Time and Confirmation

In-app deletion requests are initiated after the user confirms the request. Support-assisted requests are reviewed after reasonable account-ownership verification.

SHIRAH aims to acknowledge or begin reviewing support-assisted deletion requests within 7 business days. Most valid requests are completed without undue delay. Pending transactions, disputes, fraud checks, security reviews, provider reconciliation, technical limitations, or legal-retention requirements may require additional time.

When reasonably possible, SHIRAH will send confirmation to the registered or verified contact email after the deletion request has been completed, or will explain if additional verification or processing is required.

10. Deleting the App Is Not Account Deletion

Uninstalling SHIRAH does not delete your account or associated data.

Logging out, removing app permissions, disabling notifications, or temporarily stopping app use also does not delete your account.

Use the in-app Delete Account option or the support-assisted email request described on this page.
